​Larry Ehl

Chief of Staff

 

Experienced public policy and community leader

Ehl draws upon more than 20 years in public and private sector public affairs, including 15 years of experience in transportation policy, funding and advocacy. Ehl has served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Slade Gorton, and as an executive with the Washington State Department of Transportation. He served as Secretary for the Western Association of State DOTs and helped to lead national and West Coast transportation coalitions. More recently, Ehl wrote and published Transportation Issues Daily, a nationally-recognized e-newsletter providing stories about what's going on in transportation policy and funding issues in Washington D.C. and around the country.

Skilled communicator

Ehl is skilled in translating complex topics and projects into kitchen-table language. He also has a passion for inclusion.

Harnessing the potential

Ehl currently serves as Vice President of the Public Facilities District Board for the Edmonds Center for the Arts. His prior community involvement includes service on the Edmonds School District Board (which earned State School Board of the Year); longtime Board Member of the Cascade Land Conservancy (now Forterra), and United Way of Snohomish County.
