Ethical conduct is the underpinning of the port’s core values, which include: accountability, fairness, honesty, integrity, open communication, respect, responsible stewardship, and transparency. The Workplace Responsibility program is designed to support port employees in upholding these values and complying with the Code of Conduct.

The Ethics & Compliance Hotline is one option for reporting concerns and suspected violations of the Port of Seattle Code of Conduct or the law. The Hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by an independent third party. Calls will not be traced, and individuals making reports may remain anonymous. All reports will be given timely attention and appropriate follow up. The Port of Seattle expressly forbids any form of retaliation against anyone who makes a report to the Hotline. Anyone who believes he or she has been subjected to retaliation may report it to the Hotline. Please note that while individuals may report anonymously, the information submitted may be subject to disclosure under Washington’s Public Records Act.
