RFID Tags Required April 1, 2013
All drayage trucks must have an RFID tag by April 1 to gain access terminals 5, 18, 30 and 46. Tags required ONLY for trucks hauling containers.
How do I get my tag?
Step 1: Register your company at www.eModal.com

Step 3: Purchase an RFID tag.
The tags cost $95 each and must be purchased online with a debit or credit card at www.eModal.com. Tags take at least two weeks to arrive by mail. Tags purchased from September 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013 are eligible for reimbursement.

Step 4: Once you receive the tag, register it at www.eModal.com.
The tags must be registered for them to work and to receive reimbursement.

How do I get my reimbursement?
Buy your tag NO LATER THAN MARCH 31, 2013, and pass through one of the Port’s four container terminals by September 30, 2013. The RFID system will read the tag and a reimbursement check will be mailed at the end of the month following the first time the tag is recognized by the reader.
Where should I place the tag?
The tag MUST be placed on the back of the driver’s side mirror. Loose tags WILL NOT be accepted. Installation instructions will come with the tag.
What if my tag doesn’t work?
Go to the Port’s RFID service center at Terminal 5. The service center is located at 3520 26th Ave SW, Seattle. See map below.
