Employee Termination / Badge Deactivation

The Credential Center must be notified immediately by an authorized signer when a badge holder's employment has been terminated or when a badge is lost or stolen. Please use the Badge Deactivation notification form for all termination notifications and badge deactivation requests. Companies are also required to return the employee’s badge to the Credential Center within 48 hours of the employee’s separation of employment. A penalty of $250 will be assessed for non-compliance.

Please note: This notification does not change the current procedure requiring the return of all badges to the Credential Center along with a completed ID Badge Multi-Accountability form (#98-723 Rev 10/06) (60 KB PDF). We recommend getting a receipt for returned badges, whether they are returned in person or via US mail.

Reporting a Lost or Stolen Badge

To report a lost or stolen badge, please email the Credential Center at idbadgescheduling@portseattle.org. Please note: There are significant penalty fees for replacement of a lost, stolen or expired badge.
First replacement: $250
Second replacement: $500

Fee Schedule

We accept company checks (no personal checks) and Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards.

Badge Security

Please do not leave your Port of Seattle (POS) badge or restricted POS issued keys unattended in your vehicle.

When badges and/or keys are stolen and/or lost, the security of the airport is compromised and it can cost thousands of dollars and valuable staff hours to reissue them and maintain a secure and safe working environment at the Airport.
