Announcing the New Summer Sublease Buy Back Program
Going cruising this summer for an extended period of time? Consider taking advantage of the Shilshole Bay Marina Summer Sublease Buy Back Program!
Shilshole Bay Marina has become a popular spot for guest and monthly moorage boaters alike. Even with 2,500 feet of guest or transient moorage, in the summer months the slips fill up quickly and some guest boaters are turned away. We also utilize vacant or unassigned monthly moorage slips.
This summer, in an effort to provide additional guest moorage, Shilshole Bay Marina is looking to “buy back” slips that are 60’ and over, including end-ties, from now until September 30. Moorage customers who would otherwise sublease or vacate their slips during the summer months would be relieved of the effort to find a sublease, and relieved of needing to pay for the slip they are not using. It could be for one month, or all of these months. In exchange, the marina would then use these slips for guest moorage.
If you are interested in this program, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, slip number, and the month(s) you are proposing we buy back your slip. We will then contact you buy phone or email to confirm your slip will be in the program.
Q: What if I return earlier than planned? A: In an emergency situation, we will work to get you into your slip as soon as possible or another suitable slip temporarily.
Q: Do I need to empty my dock box? A: No, you do not need to empty your dock box, but it is a good idea to ensure it is locked to protect your stored equipment.
Q: What if I find damage done to my slip when I return? A: Immediately report any damage you may discover upon your return and we will get it repaired as soon as we can without cost to you.
Q: Will this offer be available again? A: We will evaluate the success of the program this year, and if guest moorage is still in high demand next year, we will likely do this again, but only during the peak-season.
