About Sea-Tac Airport Music Initiative

The Sea-Tac Airport Music Initiative | Experience the City of Music is a cooperative effort by the Port of Seattle, The Office of Film + Music, Seattle Music Commission and music-specialist PlayNetwork to showcase the northwest region’s music culture and enhance the experience of millions of passengers who pass through Sea-Tac Airport each year.
This unique, comprehensive project brings music to your ears via speakers and video screens airport-wide featuring the region’s diverse variety of music through:
  • Overhead music in the terminal
  • Artist-read public announcements
  • Feature videos on terminal and baggage claim monitors
  • Local music web player via the airport's free wifi
 
 
 

Submit your music for the Sea-Tac Airport Music Initiative

Interested musicians should follow the instructions below for submitting music and video content for consideration. To participate by reading overhead messages, send a request to SeaTacMessagingRequest@playnetwork.com (note: please do not send music/video requests or content via email). 

 
How to submit your MUSIC: 

Music Submissions:

Submit to PlayNetwork via label representative, if possible.  

For FTP/digital delivery (preferred Format – 320kbmp3), please send email for login information:

You must use a FTP software interface to transfer files – such as filezilla.
For CD hardcopies, please send to:

How to License your Media so we may use:

Licensing:

You will need to include a copy of an executed licensing agreement so we have approval to use your media. Download the form.
All music, video and messaging added to the Sea-Tac Airport playlist will be selected by a committee with members from PlayNetwork, the Port of Seattle and the Seattle Music Commission. These submissions will be reviewed quarterly for inclusion in the program. Decisions will be made based on suitability for a public audience of all ages.
