The Port of Seattle offers a comprehensive benefits package to non-represented employees. Benefit eligibility varies by job status -- full-time or part-time; regular or temporary. In addition, the Port has several collective bargaining agreements for designated represented positions. Benefits are negotiated and vary by contract. The following is a brief summary of the Port's non-represented benefits.
Includes annual salary and 360 degree performance reviews and evaluations.
Dental coverage is provided by Washington Dental Service. In addition, the Port covers vision and orthodontia.
The Port of Seattle pays all monthly insurance premiums for employees, their families and domestic partners.
The Port provides life insurance equal to two times an employee's annual salary, accidental death and dismemberment insurance and long-term disability insurance at no cost to the employee. Additional life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment protection and coverage for family members may also be purchased.
Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual rate - 19.6 days per year. The accrual rate increases with tenure as follows:
Extended Illness: Six days per year
Holidays: 10 days per year
Flexible Spending Accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent care and medical expenses for themselves and dependents.
The Port provides a transportation allowance:
Covered under the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). The Port also participates in the Federal Social Security System.
