Welcome to the Spring 2006 Cruise Seattle News
It’s time to set sail for Seattle’s busy cruise season. This year, nearly 735,000 visitors will make the trip on cruise ships departing from the Port of Seattle. Seattle’s popularity continues to skyrocket and cruise options continue to expand. In 2006, passengers can choose from nine premier cruise ships departing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Seattle’s two downtown cruise terminals. Check the web site for cruise schedules, cruise terminal maps and parking information.

What’s New?

  • Holland America Line has added a third ship to its regularly scheduled service from Terminal 30. Guests can now choose from the ms Zaandam, ms Oosterdam or the ms Westerdam, one of its newest Vista Class vessels.
  • Royal Caribbean returns to Seattle with the Vision of the Seas offering seven-day itineraries to Alaska’s pristine wilderness with a stop at one of Alaska’s newest ports of call, Icy Strait Point.
  • Celebrity Cruises continues its Alaska service on the Celebrity Mercury, and now also offers 3, 4 and 5 day sailings to new ports of call in British Columbia. These shorter cruises give visitors an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, with time to enjoy a cruise experience to Campbell River, Prince Rupert, Victoria or Vancouver.
  • Norwegian Cruise Line will offer sailings every Saturday and Sunday on the NCL Star and NCL Sun.
  • Princess Cruises has deployed the Sun Princess and Dawn Princess to Seattle for a summer of Alaska cruising.

New Services

Look for convenient rental car kiosks at both Terminal 30 and at the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal at Pier 66. Rental cars are located on site.

Concierge service will be available at both terminals. This popular baggage check service helps guests enjoy their visit to Seattle by storing luggage before and after cruising. The concierge can also help with reservations for attractions and restaurants. Open 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. on cruise days. Call (206) 615-3900 for details.

Parking

Both cruise terminals have ample parking. At the Bell Street Cruise Terminal the covered parking garage is located directly across the street from the cruise terminal. The garage offers 1700 secure spaces linked to the terminal by a covered pedestrian bridge. At Terminal 30 cruise passengers can park adjacent to the cruise terminal in an 800+ space surface lot. The lot is secure, and RV/oversize vehicles are welcome. Check the Web site for parking details.
