2010 Environmental Achievement Award Winner
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s “Environmental Strategy Plan – A Vision for 2010 and Beyond” earned the Environmental Management Award from the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA).

The Port of Seattle's investment policy received the Certificate of Excellence Award from the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada.
2010 Comprehensive Environmental Management Award
American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) awarded the Port of Seattle the 2010 Environmental Improvement Award for the "Environmental Compliance Assessment Program."
Award of Excellence - Annual Report to the Community 2008-2009
From AAPA. Each entry was judged by four seasoned communications professionals from the National Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The electronic annual report is electronic and features videos and zoom-in capability.

Award of Merit - Employee Intranet site "Compass"
From AAPA. This intranet site was built by a team of collaborators, and involved nearly 100 content providers from across the Port.
Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
This is the third consecutive “Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” the Port has earned from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada. This one is for the 2010 Budget Document, represents a significant achievement, reflecting the commitment of the Port and staff to meeting the highest principles of government budgeting.

NWCCC 2009 Distinguished Project Awards
General Construction received the Northwest Construction Consumer Council's Patrick Lyneis Safety Excellence Award on behalf of the Port of Seattle, Terminal 30 Upgrade project
IACC GOLD TIER Award
Bell Harbor International Conference, a Port of Seattle property, earned the recognition of being in the GOLD TIER by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) for its dedication to the Code of Sustainability initiatives.
ACEC Bronze Award for "Design Complexity"
ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) of Washington, Bronze Award for "design complexity" of Docks 5-10 at Fishermen's Terminal.

2009 Plateau Customer Best Launch Award
The Port of Seattle’s Learning Management System is the winner of the 2009 Plateau Customer Best Launch award. The Port and Technip, an international company with 23,000 employees in five continents that specializes in oil, gas engineering, technologies, and construction services were selected as finalists for this category.

The contest allows airports to showcase their best marketing and communications efforts that serve their stakeholders, including the flying public, airline partners, tenants, and employees.
Best Workplace for Recycling - Third Consecutive Year
King County's Solid Waste Division has named Port of Seattle - Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to the third-annual Best Workplaces for Recycling & Waste Reduction, one of 65 organizations to make the list this year. Sea-Tac Airport is being recognized for strong internal recycling programs and for a commitment to reducing the amount of waste produced.
Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering InternationalThe AACEI recognized the Port of Seattle for Environmental Sustainability Initiatives and Fiscal Stewardship at Sea–Tac Airport.

Airport Revenue NewsBest Overall Concessions Program in a Large Airport - the program which “incorporates all facets of program excellence: great customer service, attractive storefronts, good mix of shops, quality food services and overall high standards. There were (24) airports nominated for this category.
New Directions for Livable Communities Award
Conservation efforts & the Green Airport Project at Sea-Tac Airport received the Cascade Land Conservancy's 2008 New Directions for Livable Communities Award.
2008 Environmental Achievement Award from Airports Council International - North America
ACI- NA Mitigation Category recognized Sea-Tac's Comprehensive Stormwater Management Program addressing stormwater issues for the airport's multi-year expansion project.
Award For Excellence
Airport Facilities Council of the International Facility Management Association awarded the Aviation Maintenance Department, for the second year in a row, the Award For Excellence. Sea-Tac won in the 30 MAP or greater category. A group of independent evaluators reviewed each airport submission for leadership, innovation and cost effectiveness.
Comprehensive Environmental Management AwardAmerican Association of Port Authorities for the combined ports of Seattle, Tacoma and Port Metro Vancouver, B.C. shared the Comprehensive Environmental Management award for their cooperative "Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy," a regional plan to reduce maritime and port-related diesel and green¬house gas emissions in the Georgia Basin-Puget Sound air shed.
2008 Best in State Gold Award for ComplexityAmerican Council of Engineering Companies of Washington awarded the 2008 Best in State Gold Award for Complexity to HNTB, the primary engineering contractor on the third runway.

Sea-Tac was recognized for its excellent mix of national, regional, and particularly local brands in the areas of food and beverage, retail, and consumer services, has created a dynamic new experience for its passengers. The positioning of the retail and food service outlets throughout the terminal maximizes visibility and passenger movement.
Patriot AwardThe Port of Seattle received the Patriot Award from the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) for exceptional dedication by an employer in support of their employee members of the National Guard and Reserve.
Salmon-Safe CertificationPort of Seattle Parks were certified as Salmon-Safe for the conservation of fish habitat & water quality by Salmon-Safe Inc. The certification is one of the first 3 for urban areas in the State of Washington.
5-star EnviroStarsBell Harbor Marina and Fishermen’s Terminal received 5-star EnviroStars rating awarded by King County Department of Natural Resources & Parks. 5-stars (the highest)are given to businesses for solid waste recycling programs and proactive leadership in promoting responsible practices and boater education.
Environmental Honorable MentionWorkBoat Magazine recognized Fishermen's Terminal with an Environmental Honorable Mention Award recognizing maritime businesses and government agencies.
Diamond Award for Organizational LeadershipCommuter Challenge, a program of enterpriseSeattle, awarded the Port with the Diamond Award for Organizational Leadership in recognition of the airport's "green light" Commute Trip reduction program.
