On these pages you'll find information regarding professional consulting services and major construction public works contracting opportunities for large-scale projects at the Port of Seattle. The secure application lets you create your own login account and access documents available only to registered vendors or contractors. You do not need a login to view current bid lists, requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for qualifications (RFQs).
To ensure your company is on the Port's Consultants Roster and is eligible for professional service opportunities, you will need to register as a user (vendor). Once your registration is verified, you will need to upload an SF 330 for your company to gain final approval. You will be required to re-register every two years, and will receive an automatic e-mail reminder one month before registration is due.
The Port of Seattle structures Professional Services Agreements (PSA) in three categories: Class A - $50,000 and below; Class B -- Greater than $50,000 but less than or equal to $200,000; and Class C -- over $200,000 in fees. Only Class C PSAs are required to be advertised in the Daily Journal of Commerce, but the other classes also may be advertised. Class B requires a written proposal, and Class A can be developed from a phone call.
The Revised Code of Washington (RCW) defines a Major Construction Public Works Project as exceeding $200,000. Most of these projects are awarded on the basis of a public sealed bid process. To bid a Public Works Project within the state of Washington, state law requires the bidder to be a registered contractor. Visit the Access Washington site for information on how to register.
