HOW TO REGISTER

The Port invites all owners of small businesses to apply for status as qualified small businesses.

Instructions: Before completing the Small Business Profile, make sure you have your business tax identification and other business information handy. You must include your Washington State Unified Business Identifier (UBI) to submit this application.

Other optional business information to enter when you register includes:

Your Federal Tax Identification number (TIN) for your business
(Do NOT enter your individual Social Security Number.)
Your company’s Web site address, if you have one
(The Small Business Roster will periodically search your Web site to display your current products and service offerings to Port purchasers.)
Any business descriptors you use from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) or U. S. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
Certification number from the Washington State Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE)
Certification numbers from the Northwest Minority Business Council or Women’s Business Enterprise affiliates

Be assured your business information will be used internally only. It will not be shared or sold to other companies or agencies.

Other Tips

All required fields are marked with symbol. If you miss a required field, you will receive a red text error message indicating the information you need to enter.

With all your business information in hand, this application takes about 10 minutes to complete.

After you successfully submit the application form, you will see a confirmation message on your screen, and within a few moments receive a confirming e-mail or fax.
