The Seaport's Stormwater Resource Center

The goal of the education program is to reduce or eliminate behaviors and practices that cause or contribute to adverse stormwater impacts. ~NPDES Permit

The Seaport's Stormwater Manuals and Codes

New development and redevelopment projects are subject to the City of Seattle requirements. The City of Seattle's Stormwater, Grading, and Drainage Control Director's Rules for stormwater management have recently been updated to be in compliance with the NPDES Phase I Permit.

In accordance with Ecology and the NPDES permitting, the Port has established a set of site-specific Best Management Practices (BMPs) to help ensure the health of Elliott Bay and the marine environment of the Puget Sound.

Stormwater Facilities Maps

As part of the regulatory permitting, the Port of Seattle has begun mapping all stormwater facilities including French drains, catch basins and manholes that may have inserts to collect oil and grease. For maps of the Port's stormwater conveyance related to your property contact your Property Manager.
