These highly trained teams of officer/handler and dog are the only FAA certified K-9 teams in the
state. Nationally tested and recognized for their ability to detect explosives, they play a key role in keeping air travel safe.
Their speed and flexibility in discovering the presence of explosives and their ability to follow suspicious odors to pinpoint the exact locations give them a real edge over currently available mechanical detection devices in many circumstances. And of course they are very popular with airport employees and visitors.
The officer/handlers and their dogs are together all of time. The dogs live with their partners and become part of the family.
