Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Works by 23 artists from the Japanese city of Fujinomiya are on display at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The exhibit, titled "Celebrating Mount Fuji," features original paintings, photography, calligraphy and pottery works depicting the image of Mount Fuji.

The works will be displayed in the central plaza area of the airport's Main Terminal through April 30, 2000. The exhibition is sponsored by United Airlines which operates daily service to Tokyo and Osaka.

The art collection at Sea-Tac includes some of the finest contemporary work in glass, sculpture, photography, painting and sound, with a strong emphasis on the work of regional artists. In addition to the permanent art collection, the airport has five exhibition areas that feature works by various local and international galleries and museums on a rotating basis. The airport is open and the items may be viewed 24-hours a day.
