Shilshole Bay Marina Welcomes Reservations

New Service Guarantees Guest Moorage for Boaters

SEATTLE -- Shilshole Bay Marina, voted "Best Marina in Western Washington"*, now offers a new service that enables boaters to make reservations for guest moorage. With just a phone call and a credit card, boaters can guarantee that a slip will be waiting for them when they are ready to tie up for the night. Guest moorage docks are located on either side of Shilshole's central pier and provide moorage for up to 100 boats.

"We are delighted to provide boaters with this convenience," said Darlene Robertson, general manager of Shilshole Bay Marina. "Now boaters coming from quite a distance or on their way to a regatta can relax knowing that their slip is waiting for them when they arrive, with no worries about where to tie up after a long day of cruising or sailing."

Individual boaters can now make reservations with 72-hour notice. A non-refundable moorage deposit equal to one night's moorage is required and payable in advance. Reservations will be taken with less than 72 hours notice, but are subject to space availability.

Group reservations can also be made for organized groups of eight or more vessels. Group reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance. However, exceptions may be made during the off-peak season subject to space availability. A non-refundable moorage deposit equal to one night's moorage, per boat, is required and payable in advance. Individual and group reservations can be held only with a credit card.

Protected by a 4,400' breakwater, the Port of Seattle's popular Shilshole Bay Marina on Puget Sound provides secure moorage for 1,500 boats on floating concrete piers. The Marina offers a full complement of boating services, and ample parking is available.

Shilshole Bay Marina is located at 7001 Seaview Avenue Northwest in Seattle and can be reached at (206)-728-3006. It can also be reached 24 hours a day on VHF Channel 17 or at (206) 601-4089.
