The Port of Seattle's popular Bell Harbor Marina at Pier 66 has reduced its moorage rate to 75 cents a foot, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The new, year-round rate simplifies the previous rate structure and helps marina staff serve customers quickly and efficiently.
The timing of the new rate makes it easier for boaters to moor at Bell Harbor and walk or take the waterfront trolley or buses to shopping areas.
"The marina proved to be a hugely popular option for shoppers last year," said Marla Kempf, the Port's General Manager of Central Waterfront Facilities. "The new rate makes it even more economical for boaters to reach downtown Seattle for all of the holiday festivities."
As an added incentive to boaters, waterfront merchants are offering a variety of discount coupons to marina customers who decorate their vessels with holiday lights. "Boaters get easy access to downtown, plus a few perks from our waterfront neighbors," Kempf said.
Located in the heart of Seattle's downtown waterfront, Bell Harbor Marina is near shopping areas, hotels, restaurants, Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, Benaroya Hall and the Seattle Art Museum. The waterfront trolley stops on Alaskan Way just across from the Marina.
Services at Bell Harbor Marina include: water hook-ups, 24-hour staffing and security, showers, electrical hook-ups, a card-key access gate, garbage and recycling, restrooms and pump-out capabilities. The 70 recreational vessel slips offer moorage for boats from 30 to 120 feet in length.
Reservations are accepted for stays longer than 24 hours. Call (206) 615-3952 for more information. The holiday rate of $1.50 a foot remains in effect for Christmas day and other holidays.
