Customers who pay monthly bills to the Port of Seattle now may pay electronically using ePayments, a secure Web product where consumer customers can register to pay their bills online.
The Internet-based system will be available for all kinds of monthly bills, ranging from recreational and commercial boat moorage at the Port's marinas to parking at the airport and group insurance benefits.
Working with the Bank of America, the Port's Accounting, Information Technology and E-Business teams developed ePayments to give customers a more-convenient payment option. Customers avoid writing checks and paying postage with this convenient, fast and free system.
In addition to ePayments, the Port is offering a companion product, eBilling, which lets customers who receive a paper bill monthly sign up to receive their bill via e-mail.
"Combining an e-mailed bill with an online payment, the Port can now offer customers the convenience of a truly paperless transaction," said Dan Thomas, Port of Seattle Chief Financial Officer.
If you are a consumer customer of the Port, sign up for ePayments. To sign up for eBilling, please e-mail your request to pos.ebills@portseattle.org. Please include your customer number in your request.
