Port chooses Anthony's for New Restaurant at Shilshole

The Port of Seattle today announced that the Anthony's Restaurants has been selected to negotiate a lease at Shilshole Bay Marina.

The new restaurant is expected to be part of a major renovation of the marina. The agreement with Anthony's followed an extensive selection process by the Port.

Shilshole, one of the region's largest recreational-boating marinas, will be rebuilt over the next four years. The $78.5 million project will replace 22 docks and piers, expand dry moorage; replace and expand the sailing center at the north end of the marina, and replace six service buildings for restrooms, showers, laundry and storage.

In addition, the project also will replace the administration building and provide area for private development of the new restaurant. New public areas, landscaping and enhanced parking will be included.

Construction is expected to begin early next year and to be completed in 2008. The marina will remain open throughout the schedule.

Anthony's currently operates 21 restaurants and specializes in fresh Northwest seafood in waterfront locations.
"We are very pleased with this choice," said Charlie Sheldon, managing director of the Seaport at the Port of Seattle. "We are eager to go forward with lease negotiations and include Anthony's in the Shilshole redevelopment."
