Paige Miller honored by Port of Seattle
Fountain bears her name
Former Port of Seattle Commissioner Paige Miller was honored for her 18 years of service to the Port today when the fountain at Pier 66 was named for her. The fish-shaped water feature is now the Paige Miller Fountain.
"This is an appropriate way to commemorate Commissioner Miller's many years of dedicated service to the Port and the community," said Commissioner Bob Edwards. "Sites that offer public access to the waterfront, including the plaza where this fountain is located, are part of the legacy Paige leaves us."
On November 30 Miller was granted lifetime membership in the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA). She was the first woman President of WPPA in 1992-1993 and was a member of the Association's Executive Committee from 1990-1998.
