Port to Close Ramp from 170th St. to Airport Expressway Northbound

The Port of Seattle will permanently close the on-ramp from South 170th St. to the northbound Airport Expressway on Monday morning, Aug. 7.

This closure is not expected to affect travelers either arriving at or leaving the airport. However, many local residents use the ramp to access State Route 518 north of the airport. It will now be necessary to access 518 from Highway 99/International Blvd.

The closure is part of a group of overall roadway improvements that are expected to provide an overall better traffic flow, an improved return-to-terminal route and the arrival of Sound Transit's Link Light Rail in 2009.
