Midwest Airlines Announces New Service at Sea-Tac Airport
Carrier to begin non-stop service to Kansas City in April
Seattle - Midwest Airlines announced today that it will launch new daily non-stop service from Seattle to Kansas City on April 1, 2007. The flights will operate as Midwest Airlines Signature Service on Boeing 717 jet aircraft featuring leather seats, adjustable headrests and footrests, and baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies.
"We're very pleased to welcome Midwest Airlines to Seattle," said Port Commission President John Creighton. "Adding airline carriers and flights at Sea-Tac Airport translates into economic gains for our entire region."
Seattle is the 49th destination in the airline's nationwide network and is part of the company's long-term business plan to expand its routes and upgrade its equipment. The carrier's two key hubs are in Milwaukee and Kansas City.
"We're committed to providing a superior, competitively priced product, great customer service and convenient schedules to the cities travelers want to visit," said Scott R. Dickson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "Our customers have been requesting Seattle/Tacoma service and we are delighted to respond."
