Princess Donates furniture to Seattle-area Charity
Princess Cruises donated surplus furniture to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. The Star Princess was in Seattle for a retrofit and provided two truckloads of chairs, tables and couches. The Union Gospel Mission serves the needs of Seattle's homeless community.

How Does Your Cargo Stack Up?
Barges take a large portion of the cargo shipped out of Seattle each year. Some destinations, including small Alaskan bays, are too shallow to accommodate a traditional container ship, so the tug boat and barge are the only alternative. Barges also can carry oversize and non-containerized cargo such as boats, heavy machinery, pre-fabricated mobile homes and more.
