With its array of sophisticated electronic controls and mechanical devices, the terminal is a completely automated grain facility. This assures you efficient movement of grain from trucks and rail cars to silos and then to ship's hold. The two northern-tier railroads - Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific - have access to the terminal on a common-user basis.
The current 3.99-million-bushel capacity is expandable to meet future
requirements. The storage specifications are:
- 68 silos - 130 feet (40 meters) high and 28 feet (9 meters) in diameter hold 54,000 bushels each
- 39 interstices hold 13,500 bushels each
- 8 shipping bins in the headhouse hold 40,000 bushels each
