The Port of Seattle has begun construction of a consolidated rental car facility on property north of Sea-Tac Airport, in the City of SeaTac, bordered by International Boulevard, State Route 518 and South 160th Street.

As part of the project, the Port will construct local roadway improvements such as direct access to SR-518 for customers leaving the facility.

This five-floor, 2.1-million-square-foot structure is designed to be built and operated in the most economically and environmentally advanced manner possible.

When the facility opens in 2012, buses will transport customers to and from the airport. It also will open up two floors of parking, 3,200 spaces, in the Airport Garage.
