1. What is Passport Parking?

Passport Parking is a monthly parking program that uses an access card system and entitles you to unlimited parking in Airport Garage that adjoins the Main Terminal. You can park as long and as often as you wish within the month. The monthly parking program access card is transferable which means that when you are not using it, you can pass it along to someone else.

2. How much does it cost?

The program costs $350.00 per card, per month. If you are a frequent traveler and have been paying the daily rates for parking, this program can save you more than 25% in parking fees.

3. How do I sign up?

After reading this section, please complete the application form (21 KB PDF) and fax it to the Passport Parking Office at (206) 787-7499. We will charge your credit card for the current month's parking (on a prorated basis, if applicable) and send you your receipt and access card.

4. How do I pay for this program?

We will automatically charge your credit card $350.00 on the first business day of each month for that month's parking. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You will receive a billing statement indicating that we have charged your account. The statement will serve as your receipt.

5. How do I cancel this program?

Once you are on the program, you will remain a Passport cardholder until you request cancellation. To cancel, you will need to send us your Passport access card along with a letter (mailing address: Port of Seattle Parking, PO Box 68727, Seattle , WA 98168) or an e-mail informing us of your effective cancellation date. You must request cancellation prior to the first of the month, which is when we do our credit card billing. If you want to terminate the program, but still use your card at the beginning of the following month, we will charge your credit card the full rate for that month.

6. How do I replace a lost, damaged, or stolen access card?

If your Passport card is lost, damaged, or stolen, there is a $25.00 replacement fee. Please call our office (206 787-6887) and we will charge this fee to your credit card and send you a replacement access card and your receipt.

7. How do I use the access card?

You must use your card at two different points:

  1. To access the designated Passport Parking area (which is on the 4th floor of the garage).
  2. To exit the garage.

The system needs to read the card in that sequence in order to operate correctly.

Directions:

  1. Entering the designated Passport Parking area. When you enter the Airport Garage from either the south or north, follow the signs that say "Hourly Parking/Passport Parking" (there is no card reader at the entrance to this lane). Proceed up the ramp to the 4th floor.
  2. Use your card at the reader just before the gate. Insert your card in the same slot from which you would normally pull a ticket, however, DO NOT pull a ticket. Simply insert your card. After your card has been read, the reader will beep and the gate arm will rise. Remove your access card from the reader after you hear the beep.
  3. After parking. Go across the sky bridge to the airport terminal.
  4. Exiting the garage. Proceed down the exit ramps and use your parking card at ticket reader at any toll booth marked "Paid Tickets."

Please Note: If you do not use your Passport Parking card to enter the garage and you pull a ticket, your card will not work at the exit and you will be charged the normal parking rate.

8. What procedure do I follow if I forget my access card?

If you do not have your card when you enter the garage, you must pull a parking ticket and pay for your parking at any of the pay-on-foot booths within the garage or at a cashier booth at the airport exit. This charge will be your responsibility and your account will not be reimbursed.

9. What if I need a replacement card or have problems with my card when I'm at the Airport?

The Passport Parking office business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm., but the office is staffed 24/7. If you have any problems while at the airport, go to the Parking Supervisors Office, located to the left of the exit tollbooths. During business hours you can also reach the Passport Parking by phone at (206) 787-6887.
