The Port of Seattle Commission recently approved $348 million to invest in the future of the Seattle’s working waterfront. A key investment is a proposed new cruise terminal at Terminal 46 (King Street and Alaskan Way). The Port plans to invest $100 million and is seeking a partner to provide 50 percent of funding and potentially operate the terminal once it opens. The early cost estimate is $200 million which includes all terminal building elements, in-water elements, permitting and mitigation. The target completion date is Spring 2022.
Join us on Thursday, May 30 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. for an information session in Pioneer Square. We want to provide area businesses and residents with early information about:
- the proposed cruise terminal and timeline
- Seattle’s cruise industry and its passengers
- background on how cruise terminals work and operations on a typical day
We’re interested in your questions and concerns. Stop in and meet the project team, and enjoy some afternoon snacks and beverages.
