The Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) Team at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is recruiting 400 people to participate in a Passenger-Flow Simulation of the International Arrivals Facility (IAF) before it opens for travels this spring. A fun and family-friendly event, the Passenger-Flow Simulation is a key milestones to evaluate the new facility and staff readiness in advance of opening day.
This exercise tests processes, procedures, staff familiarity, wayfinding, and amenities as participants will evaluate parts of the passenger journey such as elevators and escalators, signage, restrooms, baggage claim, inspection, and re-check.
The IAF is SEA’s newest facility, 450,000 total square feet that will soon welcome International travelers into the U.S. through Seattle. There is much happening behind the scenes to ensure that the largest and most complex capital project in the Port’s history seamlessly transitions from construction phase to active airport operations.
Join us for this special event to get a sneak peek into this state-of-the-art addition to the airport!
