At the Port of Seattle, we are committed to employee growth and development. Over a stellar fifteen year career, Amberine Wilson forged her own unique path and opened doors for many others to follow. Amberine recently left to pursue the next stage in her career journey, but we weren't going to let her public service story go untold!
In part 1, Amberine shares how working as a waitress led to a chance opportunity and her first job in our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department. In part 2, she shares some of her career defining moments leading the Port's youth and veteran outreach, as well as the quality and impact of the programs over the years. The interview was conducted by Mary Van Biber, Strategic Planning Program Manager in the Strategic Initiatives department, who herself started as a student intern during Amberine's tenure.
