SEA Airport welcomes the latest international service announcement from Alaska Airlines adding Paris and the first-ever service to Athens, Greece, from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in May 2027. Alaska continues its expansion after adding five long-haul international services in the last two years, pushing SEA’s overall international nonstop services to 66.
"SEA welcomes Alaska's continued global expansion to two iconic European destinations, with the region's first-ever service to Athens, one of our largest unserved European markets, as well as additional options to Paris,” said Port of Seattle Commission President Ryan Calkins. “Whether your idea of a perfect summer vacation is relaxing on a Greek island or museum-hopping in one of the world's most romantic cities, we're thrilled to expand our global reach and give our passengers more opportunities to connect with the world."
Alaska will use 787-9 aircraft for both new services. This adds to Alaska’s long-haul international services at SEA with nonstop service to Athens, London, Paris, Reykjavik, Rome, Seoul, and Tokyo-Narita.
“As Seattle’s hometown airline, we’re proud to continue investing in our home hub and connecting our guests to more of the world,” said Andrew Harrison, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Alaska Airlines. “We’re grateful for our longstanding relationship with SEA Airport as we continue to grow globally from Seattle. With new nonstop service to Athens and Paris, guests across the West Coast will have even more opportunities to experience two of Europe’s most iconic destinations.”
