What are the Industrial Permit Responsibilities?
Tenants who hold an Industrial Stormwater General Permit are responsible to comply with the requirements, which include:
- Development of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
- Identification of a Pollution Prevention Team responsible for managing stormwater
- Implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs)
- Proper solid and liquid waste disposal
- Collection and analysis of stormwater discharge samples
- Discharge limitations
- Monitoring and recordkeeping
- Compliance with permit standards
Tenant activities covered under the Industrial Stormwater General Permit are not covered by the Port's Phase I permit.
