Savor the Season at SEA!

November 18, 2019

SEA Airport is bustling during the holiday travel season! In the midst of the cheer and merriment, this can also mean congestion on the drives, longer lines at security checkpoints, and an airport that’s humming with travelers going over the river and to the woods.

We get that the airport is a stop along the way to spend the holidays with your loved ones, but while you’re here, we want to share our warm holiday wishes with this guide for where to find your favorite winter flavors like eggnog, peppermint, nutmeg, cinnamon, cranberry, and gingerbread at SEA. Additionally, explore the SEA Airport Holiday Travel Edition for our best travel tips.

Lucky Louie Fish Shack, Central Terminal: A woman-owned and chef-driven concept, don’t miss the Chocolate Peppermint Parfait at this quick service eatery! Building from the signature waffle fish, this sweet treat is layered with chocolate mousse and topped with peppermint whipped cream, crushed candy canes, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Only a grinch would turn this down.

Caffe D’arte, N Gates: Caffé D’arte, a locally- and minority-owned Italian coffee roasting company, is serving up high-quality espresso, drip coffees, pastries, sandwiches, and snacks. Also brewing are seasonal espresso drinks like the gingerbread latte, peppermint mocha, and eggnog latte.

Floret, A Gates: A plant-based eatery with grab and go or linger longer options, Floret offers fresh, local, vibrant, vegetarian holiday fare to fuel your journey ahead. It’s pie season at Floret with vegan and gluten-free desserts like the dark chocolate pecan tart with chocolate cherry whipped cream, mulled port cherries, and salted pecan clusters, or pumpkin pie with whipped coconut cream. Swing by the espresso bar for some holiday cheer.

The fall flavors are pumpkin, pear frangipane, and butterbeer. Special flavors available only in November are cranberry orange and bear claw.

Seattle Chocolate, C Gates: Made just a few miles from the airport, Seattle Chocolate is the essence of the PNW wrapped into creamy, built-to-share truffles and bars. Stop by to satisfy your sweet tooth with the holiday collection, illustrated by Seattle artist Frida Clements, including Hot Buttered Rum, Candy Cane Crunch, Holiday Spiced Nuts, Peanut Butter Crisp, Toffee Sea Salt, and Winter Orange Spice truffle bars. The woodland gift boxes of chocolate truffles offer assorted flavors along with the Hanukkah gourmet truffle bag.

Beyond festive sips and bites, SEA is celebrating the holidays with passengers during the SEAson of Light!

SEAson of Light

SEAson of Light, December 16-24
Passengers can look forward to holiday entertainment daily at 9:30 a.m. from December 16 to 24, including a daily parade with live performance art, carols, and music. Presented by the Airport Dining and Retail Concessionaires, Santa, elves, and other costumed characters will surprise and delight with holiday cheer and treats for children.

Need a host gift or stocking stuffers? TSA advises not to wrap gifts prior to traveling through security. Two gift wrapping stations benefiting USO Northwest are available post-security in Central Terminal and near the Starbucks at Checkpoint 2. Gift wrapping is available by donation for last minute convenience from December 16 to 24, between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Reindeer Games at SEA, December 18 and 19
Don’t miss live reindeer on December 18 and 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Light Rail platform at SEA Airport in partnership with Sound Transit. With lots of passengers expected at the airport and on the busy drives, we recommend taking alternative transportation to and from the airport, including Light Rail. Don’t miss opportunities to pet reindeer and take selfies.
