When the Seattle Boat Show sails into town on February 4 it will be the 75th anniversary of the first humble boat show in 1947 when 13 marine dealers pitched a tent on the shores of Lake Union. From those humble beginnings, it has grown into one of the most important boat shows in the country, and the biggest on the West Coast.
The Port of Seattle is excited to partner with the Northwest Marine Trade Association and host this year’s in-water portion of the show at Bell Harbor Marina.
The 75th Anniversary show runs through February 12 and features nearly 300 exhibitors with more than 800 new and brokerage boats indoors at Lumen Field Event Center and on the water at Bell Harbor Marina — and the latest in marine accessories and technology from over 400 different brands. For convenience, there’s a free shuttle running between both locations, with discounted parking available at the Bell Harbor Marina location.
When you’re not browsing the acres of marine accessories and services or boats for sale, be sure to check out the show’s renowned seminar lineup. With topics from marine electrical to engine maintenance, anchoring, cruise planning, fishing, electronics, destinations, and more, you’re sure to find something that can elevate your nautical knowledge. If you’re looking for an even deeper level of instruction, consider a Boat Show University (BSU) class, which are all presented online. This year’s event offers a Seminar Package ticket that can get you access to all seminars and BSU instruction online through the show’s secure seminar video library.
This year’s event also features a collection of exciting promotions and attractions including a Career Fair, Dogs on Deck, beer and wine nights, a putt-putt golf course, Women’s Day, a Classic Boat Display featuring the history of boating in the Northwest, 2-for-1 Tuesday, and more.
