If you’re looking to experience the very best of the Seattle waterfront, here’s a pairing that’s hard to top: a sailing adventure on Elliott Bay followed by a meal or event at one of the Port’s beloved waterfront destinations. Over at the Bay Lady, here’s our idea of the perfect day — morning to night — all with unbeatable views.
Morning: Coffee with a view
Start your day at Café Opla, perched right on Pier 66. It’s a local gem offering espresso drinks, breakfast favorites, and cozy harbor front seating. Whether you’re grabbing a bite before exploring or easing into your day, this friendly café is a perfect first stop.
Mid morning: A walk in Centennial Park
After breakfast, stretch your legs with a stroll through Centennial Park, just north along the waterfront from Pier 66. This 11-acre green space offers scenic paths along Elliott Bay, stunning views of the Olympic Mountains, and a front-row seat to maritime activity. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, herons, and seals while you wander past public art and native plantings. The park’s benches and picnic spots invite you to slow down and savor the fresh salt air — perfect for a mid-morning reset before your next adventure.
Late morning: explore the new Waterfront Park
Before heading to lunch, make a stop at Waterfront Park, Seattle's newest waterfront park ― stretching over 20 acres from Belltown to Pioneer Square. Discover playgrounds, public community piers, bike lanes, thousands of native plantings, and public restrooms, while taking in views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, and ferries gliding across the water.
Lunch: Pike Place Market
No perfect Seattle day is complete without a stop at Pike Place Market. Head over for lunch and soak up the energy of this iconic landmark. Browse the flower stalls, local crafts, and fresh produce while street musicians provide a lively soundtrack. Grab a steaming bowl of chowder, a fresh seafood sandwich, or a pastry while you’re there. If you’re up for it, find a spot at the MarketFront patio overlooking Elliott Bay for lunch with a view, or take your meal down to the steps near the Great Wheel to watch ferries and passing ships.
Afternoon: Sail Seattle in style
For a dose of maritime magic, climb aboard Seattle’s Tall Ship for a public sail on the schooner Bay Lady. These two-hour cruises depart three times daily and offer panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, and the Seattle skyline. It’s a relaxing and memorable way to experience the city from the water — with drinks, wildlife sightings, and a salty breeze in your hair.
Evening: Dinner with a Northwest twist
After your sail, head to Anthony’s at Pier 66. Whether you’re going upstairs or downstairs, you’re in for fresh seafood, regional wines, and postcard-worthy views.
- Upstairs at Anthony’s offers a refined dining experience, perfect for romantic evenings or special celebrations. Think cedar-planked salmon, shellfish platters, and that golden-hour glow over the bay
- Anthony’s Fish Bar (located downstairs) is ideal for a more casual and lively experience. Grab fish and chips, local brews, and soak up the buzz of the waterfront
Planning a celebration?
For larger gatherings, weddings, or business events, the Bell Harbor International Conference Center is a stunning venue just steps away. With flexible spaces, full-service amenities, and a rooftop terrace overlooking Elliott Bay, it’s one of Seattle’s most scenic spots for private events — from intimate ceremonies to major conventions.
From sunrise coffee to sunset sails and seafood, everything you need for a perfect Seattle day is right here at the Port of Seattle.
