Who needs a badge and how much does it cost?

Everyone working at the airport is required have a badge. The fee schedule for badges, the required background, and training can be found on the Credential Center and Training site under Fee Schedule.

If your company has never applied for and received an airport badge or it has been more than 30 days since your company has had an active badge, your company will need to establish an account with the badging office (subject to an additional fee - see the fee schedule). Establishing your company will require two representatives coming in and completing badging process. After their background checks clear and they take the required training, they will be given access to the online portal where they can initiate the badging process for other people in the company. The initial appointment to establish a company could take 45-minutes to an hour. Standard appointments take only 15 to 20-minutes. The time it takes for background checks to clear varies. Employers should coordinate the badging of employees to allow for at least two weeks of processing time. The required training for airport badges varies from 45-minutes to almost 3-hours and is based on badge type.
