​Interlocal Agreement Approved by Ports of Seattle and Tacoma

The intent to form the Seaport Alliance, in the form of an Interlocal Agreement has been approved in two independent votes by the Port of Tacoma and Port of Seattle Commissions, pending the 45-day review period and approval by the Federal Maritime Commission. After which the two ports will enter into a Due Diligence period with the intent of developing a second amendment to the FMC Discussion Agreement 201222 in the form of the Seaport Alliance Agreement by the target date of March 31, 2015. The Seaport Alliance Agreement would then be considered by both Port Commissions in two separate votes and then submitted to the Federal Maritime Commission for a 45-day approval process.
