Description of Artwork
Star Quarters, collected by the airport in 1972 is a 4 panel screenprint on mirrored Plexiglas created by US born artist Robert Rauschenberg, the piece superimposes celestial constellations with Easter eggs of Americana peppered throughout the composition.
It has lived in many parts of the airport’s terminal, currently gracing the walls in the central area of Concourse A near Gate A11. It is a great reflection of how thoughtful the collection began in the early 70s at SEA.
About the Artist

Rauschenberg refused to embrace one form of artistic style, and he is recognized worldwide as a painter, printmaker, choreographer, stage performer, set designer and, in later years, a composer.
