SEA Airport welcomes the latest international service announcement for 2027 from Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines with the addition of nonstops to Osaka, Japan, and Papeete, Tahiti, from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in May. This will be the third and fourth new international services for Alaska in 2027 as they previously announced service to Paris and Athens.
"Another pair of new opportunities are now on the list for travelers in the Pacific Northwest through Alaska Airlines with their latest announcement,” said SEA Airport Managing Director Wendy Reiter. “Connections to the beaches of French Polynesia and the temples and majesty of the Far East through Osaka provides more global reach from the terminals of SEA, one of the most connected airports in the U.S. Visitors will also come to understand the beauty of our region in return."
Alaska will use Hawaiian Airlines A330-200 aircraft for both new services. This adds to Alaska’s long-haul international services at SEA with nonstop service to Athens, London, Osaka, Paris, Papeete, Reykjavik, Rome, Seoul, and Tokyo-Narita.
"We are building an airline that connects the Pacific Northwest to more of the world and we know our guests will be excited to have convenient access to Osaka and Papeete from Seattle," said Ben Minicucci, President and CEO of Alaska Air Group. "We're just getting started, with more international destinations on the horizon as we grow as the leading global airline on the West Coast."
