Fund highlights
The SKPCF Economic Opportunities for Communities (EOC) Program connects historically underrepresented communities to opportunities for living wage jobs and careers in aviation, construction trades, green jobs and maritime. The community-led programs create access for the next generation of trade professionals to enter the port-related industries
- Approximately $2 million in funding is available for 2026 application
- Funding duration and amounts are:
- Single year from $65,000 - $115,000, or
- Multi-year (up to 3 years) from $100,000-$275,000
- Community-based organizations with the requirements may be eligible to apply:
- 501(c)3, 501(c)6 or community organizations with fiscal sponsor
- Experience and trust with underrepresented communities in near-airport cities, South King County cities, Duwamish Valley and/or Beacon Hill
- Experience with workforce development and career-prep and readiness programming in Port-related industries (aviation, construction trades, green jobs and maritime)
- Proposed projects must include the core components:
- Port-related Industries. Increase awareness and access to jobs and careers in port-related industries (aviation, construction trades, green jobs, and maritime)
- Career-prep and Career-readiness Scopes. Be related to workforce development, utilizing career-prep and career-readiness programming and work-based learning strategies, such as awareness, exploration, preparation, and training
- Equity. Serve historically underrepresented communities who live and work in near-airport cities, South King County cities, Duwamish Valley, or Beacon Hill. Underrepresented communities include communities of color, low-incomes communities, immigrants and refugees and other structurally excluded communities
- Organizations with a physical office space in the six near-airport cities will receive a priority rating.
