For Commuters

Think Green. Go Green. Save Green.

As employees of an agency that facilitates transportation, eligible Port of Seattle employees enjoy some unique commuter benefit programs, including a subsidized ORCA card, and subsidized parking. Many Port employees carpool or vanpool, while others may bike or walk to work.

Employee Parking

The Port provides employees with subsidized parking access cards to the Port-owned garage at their assigned work location for commuting purposes. With regular business need and manager approval, employees may also request parking card access to both Port parking garages. The Port will validate or reimburse parking for business purposes when employees must attend meetings or work at alternate work locations.

Employee Vacation Parking

Eligible Port of Seattle employees may request no-cost parking at the Airport main parking garage or the Bell Street Pier Garage during their personal vacations and for Port-related business travel.

Electric Vehicle Charging

The Port provides electric vehicle charging stations at the Sea-Tac Airport Parking Garage and North Employee Parking Lot that are available to employees on a first-come, first-served basis. Use of the charging stations is available free of charge.

ORCA Cards

ORCA gets you moving! The Port of Seattle subsidizes the One Regional Card for All (ORCA) transportation pass for employees. The card provides transportation services spanning the entire region and access to the Carpool, Vanpool and Metro VanShare program as well as the Guaranteed Ride Home service. ORCA cards issued on, or after February 1 will be valid until January 31 of the following year.

Bike or Walk

The Port supports biking and walking to work as a great way to be healthy and protect the environment. Whether you bike or walk to public transportation or straight to your workplace, you can take advantage of bike-friendly Port facilities.

  • Covered bike racks are available on the 4th floor of the parking garage as well as inside the terminal on the baggage claim level.

Ferry Reimbursement
