
Open enrollment is Port of Seattle employees' annual opportunity to enroll or update participation in Port-sponsored healthcare plans. Open enrollment for 2026 Port-sponsored plans begins November 3.
Action Required
Most current, regular Port employees, including represented employees not covered by Port-sponsored healthcare plans who would like to elect a:
- 2026 Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- 2026 Dependent Care FSA
- 2026 Health Savings Account (HDHP members only)
Must enroll through PeopleSoft HCM by November 21, 2025. If you take no action, you will not have an FSA or HSA in 2026. The IRS requires a new election for these benefits every year.
Employees covered by Port-sponsored medical, dental, and/or vision plans who would like to:
- change plans
- change coverage levels
- add/remove eligible family members
Must enroll through PeopleSoft HCM by November 21, 2025. If you take no action, you will remain in the same plan with the same family members covered in 2026 as you had this year.
What's new for 2026
New! AffirmedRx
AffirmedRx is our new pharmacy benefits manager for our Port-sponsored Deductible and High Deductible plans (i.e., Aetna). This change is being made to give employees a smoother, more transparent pharmacy benefit experience and ensure continued access to safe, effective, and affordable medications. Employees who are already enrolled or elect the Deductible or High-Deductible Healthcare Plan (HDHP) for 2026 will automatically be enrolled in AffirmedRx.
- Pharmacy Access: You’ll have access to over 65,000 retail pharmacies nationwide, with very similar location options to the Port’s current pharmacy network
- Prescription Coverage: Visit AffirmedRx's website to view their standard list of currently covered prescriptions The Port is working with AffirmedRx on a list specific to our plan, which will be posted as soon as its available
- Multiple prescription mail order options are available through vendor partners including Amazon, CenterWell, and Cost Plus.
- New Prescription ID Card: You will be mailed a new AffirmedRx ID card to use for prescriptions
- An AffirmedRx Patient Care Advocate (PCA) assigned exclusively to the Port of Seattle will be available to guide you through the transition as needed
- We will continue to share additional information about this change on the Port website and Compass as we progress through this transition
Deductible and High Deductible Plan (Aetna) changes:
- Telehealth may be utilized for only the cost of copayment or coinsurance prior to deductible being met
- Acupuncture: Visits for acupuncture care are now unlimited
- Hearing Aids: The $3000 limit is removed and you will still have access to one device per 36 months regardless of cost
- Routine Foot Care: Expanded coverage of routine foot care services, including treatment of corns and calluses, trimming of nails, and foot care appliances for preventative care when medically necessary
Health Managed Organization (Kaiser) changes:
- Acupuncture: Visits for acupuncture care are now unlimited
- Hearing Aids: The $3000 limit is removed and you will still have access to one device per 36 months regardless of cost
- Routine Foot Care: Expanded coverage of routine foot care services, including treatment of corns and calluses, trimming of nails, and foot care appliances for preventative care when medically necessary
Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) IRS limits:
- HSA individual increasing to $4400; family increasing to $8750
- Healthcare FSA and Limited FSA increasing to $3400, with carryover of $680 for the 2026 plan year
- Dependent care FSA limit will remain $5000
