Traveling through A Concourse at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is now even sweeter with the arrival of Lowrider Cookie Company and The Confectionery, two local, women-owned businesses, open near Gate A1. They are the latest businesses to join the SEA kiosk program, which opens opportunities for small businesses to take short-term leases at small kiosk locations across the airport. Their arrival makes A Concourse a dessert lover’s dream destination, as both are located next to another local, women-owned partner, Lady Yum.
“In our conversations with both Lowrider Cookie Company and The Confectionery they mentioned they’ve always wanted to open at SEA, and we’re overjoyed to make that dream come true,” said Khalia Moore, senior manager of SEA’s airport dining and retail program. “The SEA kiosk program is our tool to open the doors for small local businesses to operate in an airport environment. That includes building more partnerships with ACDBE and WMBE businesses. Both Lowrider and The Confectionery already have their fans around the Pacific Northwest, so I have no doubt that guests are going to love the opportunity to pick up some delicious cookies or candies before their flight, or to bring to family and friends around the world.”

Lowrider Cookie Company offers travelers six signature flavors that are available year-round: brown butter triple chocolate chunk, salted toffee pecan, cookies and cream, s’mores, lemon crinkle, and birthday cake. Each month adds three rotating flavors, including one cookie stuffed with a contrasting flavor. In October the featured flavors are pumpkin maple, iced oatmeal, and stuffed peanut butter explosion.
The Confectionery is a boutique candy store located in Seattle’s University Village since 1967. Its SEA kiosk is a smaller-scale version of the University Village storefront, providing the same personable customer service and wide variety of delicious candy, while incorporating an efficient shopping experience through a seasonal variety of pre-bagged candy and gifts anyone would love! Family-owned and run for over 55 years, it features a sweet selection of gummies, sours, licorice, taffy, nostalgic kids’ candy, chocolate and truffles, and gifts.
SEA opened 20 new dining and retail options for travelers within the last two years. The dining and retail program supports multiple goals: meeting travelers’ diverse needs by providing a selection of local and national brands at a range of prices, expanding economic opportunity for local business owners, creating job opportunities, and generating revenue for the airport.
