The Sweeter Side of SEA

May 27, 2022

By Dianne Ciceron

There's no sugar coating the fact that travel can be stressful. So let us ease those rocky roads with some sweet stops at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Trust us ... these treats are way better than “plane” chocolate!

Before Security

Alki Bakery
Starbucks
Sourced Market

Located near Ticketing and Baggage Claim
Start your day with a coffee and some sweet pastries — something soft and fluffy like Starbucks cake pops, Sourced Market’s chewy taffy, a blueberry muffin, or chocolate chip cookies from Alki Bakery. Options abound from all three of these stores before heading through security. Just remember to remove the evidence from your lips if you’re waiting to meet and greet friends and family!

A Concourse

Capitol Hill Food Hall
Gate A5
Stay cool, calm, and collected with Snoqualmie’s handmade ice cream. The King County-based company has savory and sweet flavors based on Seattle taste profiles. You'll never guess that olive oil ice cream could be so delicious. Don’t miss salted, malted, chocolate chip cookie dough and many other seasonal flavors. And even Ellenos Greek Yogurt for another creamy and cool option

The Confectionery Stores
Gate A1
In need of a candy kick? The confectionery store offers a delicious assortment of gummies, sours, jelly beans, licorice, chocolates, and truffles that are guaranteed to satisfy any sweet craving!

Lady Yum Macarons
Gate A1
What goes together better than macarons and mischief? Sign us up for Seattle’s own Lady Yum! Their tasty macarons (which also happen to be gluten-free!) have unique flavors such as Unicorn or Honey Lavender. They’re so hard to describe that you should just stop by and try them yourself! Don’t go home wondering “What does unicorn taste like?”

Lowrider Cookie Company
Gate A1
Have you ever seen a cookie stuffed with sugary goodness? Well, Lowrider Cookie Company has assorted cookies such as brown butter triple chocolate chunks, salted toffee pecan, cookies and cream, s'mores, lemon cranberry, birthday cake, and more!

Floret by Café Flora
Gate A1
For our vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free passengers, Floret is the place to be with their handmade pastries from their own local bakery, the Flora Bakehouse. Grab some brownies, apple spice muffins, and chocolate hazelnut coffee cake that you just can’t make at home.

LouLou Market and Bar
Gate B3
Say “oui oui” to sweets with some French-inspired cuisine at LouLou Market and Bar. Go light and fruity with their Strawberry and Mascarpone Crepe or indulge in the all-time favorite chocolate-hazelnut spread, in a Nutella Crepe. (They even have savory crepes if that’s more your vibe!)

C Concourse

LeGrand Comptoir
Gate C10
Which dessert pairs best with wine? For our money, it’s the Grand Marnier with strawberries and vanilla mascarpone cream that goes with white, red, rose, and anything in between!

Hachi-ko
Gate C9
Craving bubble tea before boarding your flight? Hachi-ko serves Thai Tea and Taro bubble tea; add some boba or jelly to build the drink of your dreams.

Dish d’lish
Gate C11
No time to tame your sweet tooth? All the sweet pastries and bakery items are wrapped and ready to take on the plane with you. Indulge and make your seatmates jealous as they crunch on their free snacks.

Seattle Chocolate
Gate C2
You’ll be full of regret if you miss Seattle Chocolates at SEA Airport. These locally produced and themed chocolates look as good as they taste with unique and colorful illustrations on the labels and big flavors like Camper’s Smores, Honey almond coconut, chocolate wafer cone truffle bar, and so many more.
