Renewal Badge Process

Renewing Your Airport ID Badge – Step-by-Step Process

Please follow this step-by-step guide to renew your airport ID badge. Questions? Ask your Authorized Signer.

Step 1 – Authorized Signer: Renew the Application

Renew the application in the Authorized Signer Portal.

Step 2 – Employee: Complete Electronic Forms and Schedule Appointment

Check your email for a link to complete all required electronic forms, including the Privacy Act Notice, Fingerprint Application, and Badge Holder Agreement. You must submit these forms online before your appointment. If you do not, you must reschedule it, and your application will not be accepted. After submitting the forms, schedule your badge renewal appointment.

Step 3 – Employee: Complete Online Training

Complete your required online training (STERILE, SIDA Renewal, AOA, or AMA) before your renewal appointment. For instructions, see online training instructions . You must finish training in advance—otherwise, you will need to reschedule, and your application will be rejected.

Step 4 – Employee: Check in and Pick Up Your Airport ID Badge

Arrive on time for your appointment at the Credential Center. Check in at the kiosk.  You will receive a text message you have been checked in. Go and wait in the waiting area until you are called back by a specialist.

  • Bring your Required Documents and current badge
  • The appointment takes about 15 minutes. You must finish online training before your appointment
  • A new photo will be taken during renewal
