Last Minute Holiday Treats and Eats at SEA

December 12, 2023

It’s the ho ho holiday season and you’re flying over the river and driving through the woods to grandmother’s house. You’re (always) a little behind and need a few last minute gifts and stocking stuffers. We feel you, so here’s a last minute guide to holiday gifts that you can pick up on the way to your gate at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).  Try our successful gifting strategy — one for them plus one for you!

Many of these shops participate in the SEA Kiosk program. This program provides shorter leases and lower opening expenses, so small local businesses can test sales at the airport; many vendors graduate to bigger opportunities at SEA.

One for them

1.    Pillow mint cookie

Give them cookies to die for like this chocolate peppermint cookie loaded up with Andes Mints. Other holiday flavors include Red Velvet with Snowflake Sprinkles, Whiskey Old Fashioned, and Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chip. Waiiiitaminute don’t forget the Stuffed Chocolate Brown Sugar Truffle, a chocolate cookie stuffed with a house-made brown sugar truffle, inspired by the See’s candy. Order online for store pick up. Or (danger danger) they ship across the U.S. and even deliver straight to your front door.

2.    Macarons & Mischief holiday gift box

Your fave macarons will look so festive in a tree-shaped gift box with space for 12 macarons. Choose from 22 flavors including holiday editions like cherry amaretto bourbon, peppermint bark, frosted sugar cookie, polar bear claw, butter pecan, or dark chocolate orange. You can also pick up Hanukkah gift packs that are ready to fly. Plus, most flavors are gluten free! Lady Yum brings the magic of the PNW to life through macarons, champagne, wines, and artisanal products from the area’s most adventurous and passionate makers.

3.    Holiday candy gift packs

Taking the saying “like a kid in the candy store” to a new level, the Confectionery is Seattle’s ultimate candy store. Take some packaged holiday treats to go like dark peppermint nonpareils, holiday gummy bears, cinnamon Santas, and Peppermint salt water taffy. Family-owned and operated for over 51 years, The Confectionery features a sweet selection of grab and go gummies, sours, jelly bellies, licorice, chocolates and truffles that are ready to travel!

4.    Café Flora roast organic coffee

Your favorite coffee snob can’t ignore the bouquet of this special coffee blend created for Café Flora by Stumptown Coffee. Floret is the first vegan and vegetarian restaurant in a U.S. airport and offers gluten-free treats as well. Pick up cute gifts like floral hats, soap, and tees near the Grab & Go area. Or since you’re there, wait for your flight in the windowed wall that fills the café with natural light and a view onto the airfield. Don’t forget something for yourself —a vegan peppermint brownie or a cinnamon roll for the plane.
