SEA Spot Saver is expanding service hours to 10 p.m. starting November 1, just in time for the upcoming busy holiday travel season. Previously, the advanced check-in option for security checkpoint lines was only available during the busiest times of the day at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), until 1 p.m. Now afternoon and evening options for the free service can make your travel more predictable and efficient until 10 p.m.
One of the most popular free amenities at SEA Airport, in a report from mid-October, 97 percent of users report satisfaction with reserving their place in the screening line. Most travelers (67 percent) reported using their extra time to eat or shop at an airport retail location.

Originally piloted here at SEA in 2021, virtual queuing is now being used at several airports around the country. The service allows travelers to reserve a spot in the TSA checkpoint line up to five days in advance. You can make your reservation online or use the QR code inside the terminal, as long as you’re more than an hour away from your departure time.
New Extended Hours Details
The new hours will extend SEA Spot Saver reservations through 10 p.m. each day. After 1 p.m. all SEA Spot Saver reservations will be directed to Security Checkpoint 3. During the morning hours before 1 p.m., you can still use multiple checkpoints as you have before with SEA Spot Saver locations at Checkpoints 2, 3, and 5.
