Note: tenants are responsible for emergency supplies for their area/s.

The Port of Seattle provisions the following supplies throughout shared areas of SEA Airport, which are available for employees’ and passengers’ use.

  • Fire extinguishers (maintained by the Fire Department)
  • AEDs (maintained by the Fire Department)
  • Trauma/bleeding control kits
  • Emergency evacuation stair chairs
  • Emergency cabinets containing
    • First aid kit
    • Trauma/bleeding control kit
    • Personal protective equipment
    • Rescue pack
    • Cabinets on the AOA also include mass evacuation kits with a megaphone, barrier tape, flashlight, and an additional trauma/bleeding control kit

Evacuation

Note: tenants are responsible for identifying evacuation routes and posting evacuation maps for their area/s.

Tips for Creating Evacuation Maps

  • Your employees know your workspace/s best.
  • Identify two routes from each workspace to safety.
  • General assembly areas are identified on the flySEA app map.
  • When identifying assembly areas, ensure the area is not in harm’s way (e.g., traffic, operations) and that there are no structures overhead.
  • Evacuation maps do not have to be professionally designed or printed; a drawing is sufficient.

Review the Airport Mass Evacuation Plan online training for where to go and what to do for mass evacuations at SEA Airport.
