The Sound Insulation Repair and Replacement Pilot Program was granted approval by the Port of Seattle Commission on February 27, 2024.
The pilot program is currently in the planning phase with a study anticipated to be completed by the end of 2024. This assessment will include extensive outreach, collection of information from property owners within the study area, and analysis of that information. These results will then be presented to Commission in early 2025. Once the assessment has been finalized and planned thoroughly, the pilot program will begin in 2025.
This pilot program is to help assess products that were previously installed as part of the Sound Insulation Program and evaluate the results of those installations. Based upon the survey findings, a potential program criterion will be established to move forward in addressing the results. The pilot program would return to Port Commission for review of the program criterion for approval and implementation.
The criteria for eligibility has yet to be determined. Once determined, information and application process will be updated.
