Port of Seattle Firefighters have been administering COVID-19 vaccinations at a popup clinic at Staging Parking Lot on South 160th. Sponsored by the Rideshare Association in partnership with King County Public Health, this site makes it easy for Uber, Lyft and Rideshare drivers to get more information and receive their vaccination. King County Public Health is providing language services for those drivers who are Arabic, Somalian, or East Indian to answer questions and assist with the information needed to be vaccinated. The site was chosen for the convenience of the drivers and is currently operating Wednesdays through Fridays from 3:00-6:00 pm.
Through the partnership with King County Public Health, Port of Seattle Fire Department EMTs have been administering vaccination shots all over the area for months. It’s an honor to have one of the locations be on our home turf, and be a clinic specifically targeting a low vaccinated population. The more information we can share, and the easier we can make it, the more people will be protected.
