What’s Your Travel Personality?

July 12, 2023

Author and seasoned traveler Paulo Coehlo says "In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike." We’d also add that no travelers are the same and everyone’s looking for something a little different in their travel experience.

  • Are you committed to a sustainable lifestyle and you buy local whenever you can? You might just be Eco Wise

  • Are you excited to wander the world and discover new places and things? You’re probably a Globe Trotter

  • Do you prefer the road not taken and seek out authentic experiences off the beaten path? Chances are you’re a True Original

  • You won’t leave home without your gadgets that make travel easier and more fun. Quite possibly you're a Tech Traveler

  • You travel with your loved ones, always looking for entertaining and kid-friendly experiences. Sounds like you're the Family Fun type

  • You’re a finely tuned travel machine who doesn’t waste time on overplanning. It'll all work out. Perhaps a Procrastination Pro

We love all travelers — take the quiz to get helpful travel information tailored to your personality: all you need to know before you go, how to get here, and what to do/see/eat while you're at the airport.

First, some good advice for all traveler personalities during the busy summer season:

  • Plan ahead and get here early – Two hours ahead of boarding time for a domestic flight and three hours for an international flight

  • Join an expedited travel program – Learn about the federal and local programs that can help you fly through security

  • Avoid driving if you can – Use light rail, public transit, taxis, airport shuttle, or ride-share vehicles and Think Opposite

  • Limit carry-on food items for faster screening – Large food items could trigger additional screening. In addition, security checkpoint wait times are unpredictable, so plan to arrive early in case of long lines

  • Download the FlySEA App – Monitor security checkpoint wait times, search for your flight, and map the restaurants, lounges, salon, meditation room, children’s play area, stores, or other services you want to visit

  • Heed the Pathfinders — The shortest line is not always the fastest line. Check in with the Pathfinders in teal jackets when you arrive. Their job is to monitor the lines and direct you to the shortest one
